Eco Terreno Winery

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

The Ask: Creating the essence of the farm in the city, bringing the brand to life in physical space.

The client approached us to create a space that would bring the essence of their biodynamic winery, into urban San Francisco. We dove deep into research of the building, the farm, and the wine and developed a space rich in materials that tied back to the land. The entire upstairs used to be a commercial kitchen. We created a hyper-efficient, fully custom Heston kitchen, and reclaimed half the soiree footage to create an intimate space for a seated dinner up to 20, or a chef’s experience at the kitchen counter. Once the Purple Onion, the downstairs was originally meant to be a supper club with nightly live entertainment– and together with the architect and builder we revamped the layout, enhanced the flow, and increased the # of seats, creating a sultry, intimate environment for a performance or a party.

ACD | Alicia Cheung Design crafted plush booth seating, adding comfort and elegance to the space while maintaining the rustic charm of the winery, perfect for intimate gatherings and relaxed dining.

“We were inspired not only by Eco Terreno’s landscape in Cloverdale, but also by the brand’s regenerative farming practices.”
