Same Space, New Life

BELVEDERE, CA

The Ask: Update a previous family home, for their next chapter of independence

A divorcee who had already reclaimed the next chapter of their life was also now ready to reclaim their space. Initially, the scope involved a few rooms, but quickly expanded to include all 5 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, and all common rooms. Over the course of 18 months, we poured over each item in a room, focusing on function, storage, and of course, aesthetics. Each bathroom had its own personality but tied back to the design language of the time: a timeless and organic ethos, mixing old antiques with contemporary furniture, and highlighting colors and texture from nature.

ACD | Alicia Cheung Design reimagined this Belvedere dining space with timeless, organic furnishings that blend antique charm with contemporary elegance, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
